Re-established in 2015, the mission of the Country Club of Terre Haute’s caddie program is to provide superior customer service to the membership and strive to create a more enjoyable golfing experience for them and their guests from the moment they arrive at the club. Open to both young men and young women aged thirteen (13) to eighteen (18), our caddie program provides young individuals with the opportunity to receive valuable training and a work experience where they are expected to conduct themselves in an adult manner at all times. In addition, they have the opportunity to work outdoors, learn the game of golf and the meaning of good sportsmanship while earning a fair wage. Since a portion of their pay is performance based, caddies quickly learn the importance of training, reliability and work ethic.
Furthermore, our caddie program associates with the Western Golf Association, which endows the Evans Scholarship, a full tuition and housing scholarship awarded to high achieving caddies with limited financial means. With four past recipients already, we are looking for individuals dedicated to not just carrying bags, but also carrying on a tradition and legacy of excellence. If you know anyone interested in participating in our caddie program, please contact our GM, Rob McCormick, at [email protected] or 812-299-1822 for more information.
